I decided to plant a little garden this summer.
Usually I plant flowers only, but I loved growing up with fresh veggies right outside our door, so I decided to try a little vegetable garden this year. I've planted tomatoes and some herbs and all are doing wonderfully! I have about 2 dozen little tomatoes growing and ripening, and soon it will be time for fresh salsa!

Loving Summer
It's been awhile, I know. The end of last semester was insane, so I haven't updated in awhile. Summer in Bloomington has to be one of my favorite times. The students are gone, IU is beautiful with blooming flowers at every turn, classes are casual (or nonexistent as is the case with me!), and I have just enough spare time to enjoy all the outdoor activities I love! Well, maybe just slightly under just enough ;-) The summer is turning out to be a little more hectic than I expected. I started my summer internship a few weeks ago (requirement of the Au.D.) at ENT Associates here in town. I am enjoying seeing patients again and I've learned a lot about what the "real" world of audiology is like. It's much faster paced, there are billing and business issues to deal with, there are more configurations of hearing loss other than a sloping bilateral presbycusic loss... I think I've seen more interesting cases in three weeks than I did in my entire time at the IU clinic.
Besides clinic, I'm assisting Rob with a consulting project about 2 days a week, and studying for quals whenever I can. I'm hoping to take the exam at the end of the summer, but I've not been happy with my progress in reading the material I need to prepare yet, so I might have to push it back a bit into September. The summer is going by WAY too fast.
